One Doctor is working three hours per day, five days per week.
Conversations with a Rio Grande Valley birthing center reveals that a number of Mexican mother's babies are delivered in The Valley and then go back to Mexico within hours of their delivery and the mothers and babies are unable to return northward for postpartum examinations as well as essential new baby examinations of the newborns. The Doctor at the clinic has agreed to see both these new mothers and their babies for this very important follow-up care.
In the period Jan thru Sept, 2011 the Doctor saw 478 patients.
