Who is Mabel?

  • Click here for the story: Mexicans call Mabel and Elizabeth angels.
  • Click here for the story: Angels chase away Sallie Felton's blues.

  • These sisters, Mabel Clare Proudly and Elizabeth Davis, have devoted their lives to helping low-income Mexican families along the Mexican border.

    Mabel's motto

Si tu plantas para un ano...planta arroz.
Si tu plantas para una decades...planta pinos.
Pero si tu plantas para el futuro....planta educa.

If you plant for a year...plant rice.
If you plant for a decade...plant trees.
But if you plant for the future...educate.
